Terms of Service

Welcome to ABCcount Teams. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website, browser extension, and services (collectively, "the Service"). By accessing or using ABCcount Teams, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. The Service

ABCcount Teams is a paid, subscription-based writing tool. Unlike ABCcount.com, there is no free tier — every plan, whether an Individual subscription or a Team seat license, requires active payment. We grant subscribers a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the dashboard and browser extension for the duration of an active subscription.

2. Accounts and seats

  • Individual subscriptions: A single-user license, billed monthly or annually.
  • Team seats: Workspace administrators purchase a set number of seats and assign them to team members. Seat count and billing interval are set at checkout and can be adjusted from your workspace settings.
  • Account security: Authentication and account data are handled by our provider, Supabase. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

3. Billing

  • Payment processing: All payments are processed entirely through Stripe. We never see or store your raw card details.
  • No refunds: Fees paid are non-refundable, including unused seats or partial billing periods.
  • Cancellations: Cancel anytime from account or workspace settings. Access continues through the end of the current paid period.

4. Your content

  • You own your writing: You retain full ownership of any text you submit to the Service.
  • Zero-retention processing: Text you submit is processed in memory to generate your result and is not stored afterward. It is not used to train models for our benefit or anyone else's.
  • Limited technical license: By submitting text, you grant us and our processing providers (including Anthropic and Groq) a temporary, automated license to process that text solely to return your requested result.

5. Legal and Medical modes — an important limitation

Legal and Medical modes generate AI-drafted language calibrated to professional terminology and tone. Output from these modes is not legal or medical advice, is not a substitute for review by a licensed professional, and should not be relied upon as such. This limitation is also shown directly in the product each time these modes are used. You are solely responsible for having any Legal or Medical mode output reviewed by an appropriately licensed professional before relying on it.

6. Disclaimers and limitations of liability

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure, including Anthropic, Groq, and Supabase. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, nor the absolute accuracy of any generated output, including Legal and Medical mode drafting.

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ABCcount Teams and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from reliance on generated output, service downtime, or system errors — including any professional, legal, medical, or financial consequences of using Legal or Medical mode output without independent professional review.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Scrape, automate, or mass-submit content in a way that bypasses normal usage limits.
  • Reverse engineer or directly call our underlying API endpoints outside the intended dashboard or extension interface.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or violates the acceptable use policies of our underlying providers, including Anthropic.

8. Enforcement

Violating these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account or workspace, without refund of any fees already paid, and without prior notice in cases of serious or repeated violations.

9. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Texas.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change meaningfully, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
